Our Mission
Suppose a person knew nothing about Christianity at all. Then, like the character in Cast Away, they spent three years on a deserted island alone with nothing to read but a New Testament. They read that book all the time and then, one day, they are rescued.
If you asked them upon their rescue, what ‘church’ was, do you think they would say: “It’s a place you go and enjoy the show for one hour each week and then walk out the door without speaking to anyone.”
No. They wouldn’t say that because that concept of ‘church’ is not in the New Testament.
Church is not a show. It’s a God-experience. An encounter with the living God. An encounter with love. It’s a connected body of believers powered by the Spirit of God.
In the Bible, the church moved comfortably in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, they loved each other, they served each other and although the church in the New Testament was far from perfect, it was a place where God reigned.
Our Mission is to be a Spirit-powered Family Church. A place where the love of God is shared. A place where people want to go for it. A place that makes God’s Spirit known.
We Love
God
Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my commandments." So,,, because we love God, we keep His word, and we do things His way. Simple. And His way is not burdensome - it's liberating. Let's face it; God is the smart one here and when we do things His way, it just always turns out better. Forever.
We Love People
In addition to loving God, we love people. In The Message Bible, we read, "Watch what God does, and then you do it...His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn't love in order to get something from us, but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that." Extravagant love. Wow! What a great path to walk down through life! If you think about it, because God is love - the entire Bible is about love.
We Love Truth
And finally, we love truth. Jesus said, "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." Concerts and big events are fun (we are fans), but that's not what makes people free. Truth makes you free. We love God and we love people enough to speak truth in love. We love truth enough to challenge your thinking. We love truth enough to be a Spirit-filled church, just like in the Book of Acts.

Faith Family Church is a family of believers joined together by our common, love of God, love of people, and love of truth.
We love God and people enough to make it our mission to make disciples, trained to go into all the world and rescue humanity.
