We will be having the baptism on our back patio after 10am service end.

Please come to service prepared for the baptism. We live in Arizona so you’ll fit right in wearing swim shorts and a t-shirt!
-
If you are being baptized, please do not wear a shirt that is see-through when wet (No white or thin shirts).
-
Bring a towel for after the baptism to dry off. Sometimes things happen and you might forget your towel, we will have spare towels available.
We encourage you to read the below section so you can feel prepared for this coming Sunday.
FAQ about baptism!
Q: How old do you have to be to get baptized at FFC?
A: Old enough to be able to explain why you want to be baptized. We have found that typically around 8 years old, children start to understand the importance and symbolism of being baptized.
Q: What kind of baptism does FFC do?
A: We do a full immersion baptism. Meaning, you go all the way under the water.
Q: What does baptism represent?
A: When you are fully under the water, it represents your old self (before you accepted Christ as your Lord) dying to sin. When you are brought out of the water, it represents you resurrecting into your new self that God created by your acceptance of Jesus in your life! (2 Cor 5:17)
Q: What should I say when asked "who is Jesus to me?" (Which we ask before you are baptized)
A: This is your opportunity to tell others that Jesus is YOUR Lord and Savior! Jesus said in Matthew 10:32 "whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven." So say it! Shout it if you want! Your declaration of Jesus as Lord of your life is something we're all excited about.
Q: Does being baptized mean I'm born again?
A: Baptism in and of itself does not provide salvation. 1 Peter 3:21 in the AMPC says, "And baptism, which is a figure [of their deliverance], does now also save you [from inward questions and fears], not by the removing of outward body filth [bathing], but by [providing you with] the answer of a good and clear conscience (inward cleanness and peace) before God [because you are demonstrating what you believe to be yours] through the resurrection of Jesus Christ."
Basically, baptism gives you a fresh mental start and allows you to demonstrate your faith in Christ! Let's not forget what Romans 10:9 says, "if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." According to this verse baptism is not a requirement to be saved, but as stated before, it is your way to demonstrate your faith in Jesus!
If you have any questions at all regarding the baptism please reply to the text sent to you and we will get back to you with more information.
We’re looking forward to celebrating with you!
